Facebook Announces Changes to Ads and Pages - russelldaming
Facebook recently proclaimed a big located of changes to advertisements and pages connected the platform for greater transparency and accountability. With the spic-and-span changes, the company aims to curb election interference caused by the political program.
Rob Goldman, VP Ads and Alex Himel, VP Section & Pages, recently detailed the changes in a blog post styled "Fashioning Ads and Pages More Transparent". According to the post, the social media giant will today start labeling all political and issue ads on the weapons platform and clearly show who remunerated for those advertisements. For pages, Facebook will now start verifying the people behind large pages on the platform. In one case provided, Facebook will send them a letter of the alphabet with a special code to confirm the address.
